TEACHER/STAFF BIOS - FOURS | PRE-K | KINDERGARTEN

Theresa has 32 years of teaching experience. She loves watching children grow, mature, gain their independence and have the confidence needed to be successful in kindergarten. "Teaching is an adventure," says Theresa and she can't think of a more rewarding job!!!

I am Micheala Bradshaw and I am so excited to be returning to Lancaster Preschool in the Fours. I was born in England and have lived in Greensboro for 23 years. My husband David and I enjoy kayaking, camping, reading, and gardening. I have 15 years teaching experience

and I absolutely love what I do! I get great joy from teaching and providing each child with a

warm and nurturing environment, helping them grow and achieving great things! I absolutely

can’t wait to be your four-year-old assistant teacher this school year! We are going to have an

amazing year!

This is Joan's third year at Lancaster, her second in Fours, and she couldn’t be happier. 

She lives in Sedgefield with her husband and has two grown boys (men), who live nearby. In her free time she likes to read and do crafts when she and her husband are not riding in their ‘89 Camaro convertible through the countryside.

 "Teach a child something new and their face will light up!" Carolyn has been doing this since she started at St. Francis Day School 35 years ago. She loves working with children and will continue doing so - God willing! 

Hello and welcome to Pre-K! My name is Pam Sutherland, and I’m so excited for another year at Lancaster.  Before coming to Lancaster I worked at a preschool for a little over 8 years. After that I had my own in-home daycare for 11 years. My husband Grey and I just celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary. We have a son going into 10th grade at Northern High School, and a daughter going into 7th grade at Northern Middle. I love teaching children. It’s such a gift to be able to be a part of their lives and watching how much they grow as students and as people in a year. I am looking forward to another wonderful year, can’t wait to meet everyone. 

My name is Suzie Metz. I have been in the Greensboro area for over 20 years. I graduated from NC State for undergrad and attended Elon University for a Masters in Education/K-6 certification. I am married and have a 15 year old son, Evan and a 13 year old daughter, Caroline. They both attended Lancaster Preschool from 

2’s-Pre K. I began at Lancaster when Caroline was in Pre K and have worked in tots, 2’s and Pre K. I love working with children and see how much they grow throughout the year! I am looking forward to a great year! 

Karen is excited to be teaching kindergarten at Lancaster this year. She has taught for 38 years with the majority of these in kindergarten. It has always been her favorite grade. She enjoys reading, crafts, beach music and spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible. She is looking forward to an amazing year with your children!

Teaching preschool has been such a joy for Kris over the last 8 years. Kris has worked with two year olds but has spent the majority of her time teaching in the Pre-K classroom. She loves to see the joy on the children's faces when they learn something new and loves to watch them mature and grow over the course of a school year. She has a BA in Psychology from UNC-G. She is so excited to be a part of Lancaster School and working in the Kindergarten class! Kris has been married to her husband Mark for 17 years and has a beautiful 12 year old daughter named Isabelle. Kris loves spending time with her family, cooking, going to the beach and taking Barre classes.
