OUR FACILITY

The spirit of  Lancaster Preschool began years ago when the late Donni Lancaster and a wonderful group of teachers were at St. Francis Episcopal Church. From there, it moved to its present location and was known as Christ Preschool before joining with Caldwell Academy. In June 2020, we are becoming an independent preschool bearing the name of the woman who’s been with the school every step of the way. As an independent school, Lancaster Preschool is free to serve the children under its care with the same love, joy and creativity that have been the school’s hallmarks since it began. We are a non-denominational Christian school, empowering each child to discover his or her unique gifts as a beloved child of God.

The mission of Lancaster Preschool is to equip students for a life of faith and learning through a Christ-centered education guided by five key principles: nurturing community, educational excellence, creative enrichment, peace building, and service. Grounded in the belief that each of our students is a unique, beloved child of God, we seek to help students discover their many gifts and talents and foster a sense of wonder in God’s creation, as well as an appreciation for others while preparing them for kindergarten and the life-long adventure of learning. Our motto is "giving children roots to grow and wings to fly".

Lancaster Preschool is a non-denominational Christian preschool that was established to provide the best possible learning experience for children 15 months and walking to six years of age. We believe our preschool is an extension of the home environment where children can learn new skills, interact with teachers and peers, and experience hands-on learning opportunities through developmentally appropriate experiences led by dedicated and caring teachers. Lancaster Preschool strives to provide the best possible experience for children of either gender without regard to race, color, creed, or national origin.
